Listen 2The Call - Sunday, January 31, 2010
Terra Nova Hotel, Kingston, Jamaica
Handel Tucker | Raymond Azan | Andrea Davis

Day 1 started with a Breakfast meeting between producer Handel Tucker, songwriter and For Jamaica co-founder Raymond Azan and project manager Andrea Davis to discuss the "Hear the Calling" project.

It was agreed that the song would be modeled after Rise Up/We Are the World to include the participation of the Jamaican music fraternity, as suggested by Andrea and Handel. The song would be composed in a spirit of solidarity with the people of Haiti and marketed globally to raise awareness and funds to assist in their relief and rehabilitation.

Handel and Raymond leave to begin working on transforming Raymond’s lyrics into a song at the world famous Tuff Gong Studio.

In the soundproofed silence of the studio Handel listened to the voice within and began construction on the musical “ark” that would be worthy of transporting the many voices to come. Time slipped by while the randomly tinkling sounds of “genius at work” left the uninitiated young engineer wondering "which artiste never show?"
