Tuff Gong Studio
Artiste: Luciano

Day 4 was Luciano's day, and he owned it.

When Luciano stepped into the Tuff Gong studio, it was Jah Messenger on a mission: cane in hand, calabash slung over his shoulder, he reached out to greet Handel and the team with an expectation as tangible as electricity.

Handel played Luciano the demo of 'Hear the Calling' while he looked over the lyrics, then the next few moments glided past like images on a slide show: Luciano behind the mic; cane, calabash and hat removed; the artist unfettered for greatness. And then he flew into song...

Listening to Luciano's reedy, caramel voice flow over the track was like bearing witness to fate. He gave the first verse character; you couldn't help but sit up and listen.

By this time the song's title was evolving into “Listen to the Call” and after taking a morning run to consider Andrea's recommended change, songwriter Raymond Azan agreed and the name became "Listen 2 the Call" (or "l2thec" in IM speak).
